The top bird looks more like a New Hampshire than a Rhode Island Red. As far as culling or keeping the second bird, it depends on what you had planned on using him for.

The first one looks like a rhode island red, the second one looks like a serama?? I don't know that is just a guess, They are both very pretty. What kind of hens do you have??
ETA: the first one does look like a new hampshire red. Very pretty.

Top bird def not RIR, as for the second if you have no use for him and are going to eat him then cull him. Never take a rooster you don't need it makes no monetary sense. In fact never take for free any bird you don't have place for or need.

I was givin the bottom bird as an hatching egg it was the only one that hatched out of 4 and was supposed to be millie fluer de"uccle I am not sure if I spelled that right? that is what my hens are as for my red rooster I got him when he was 3 days old from a breeder here in georgia but I am questioning if she even knows what she has she is the same one who gave me 4eggs that she could not fit in her incubator and told me to take it home and hatch and let her know what I think and if I like them to come back and she would sell me some chicks that she was hatching I never got to see the parents because the day I went to get them she did not have them at her house. I know I was stupid to do that and not want to see the parents

I had a use for him if he would have been a millie like they told me.

I wanted to breed him to my rhode island reds but I do have a new hampshire hen I can use him for right now I call him my barn gaurd chicken he runs around in my horse barn and keeps strangers out. he has got an attitude if he don't know you.
