I have 2 americauanas hatched within a day of each other. they are about 8-10 weeks now. One is a good bit larger and has a much bigger red comb than the other but absolutely no crowing and actually a shy bird. She/he is a beautiful blue americauana. Can you please have a look and le tme know if I need to start looking for a home for him? Thanks so much!

and this was 3 weeks ago with a closer head shot....

I dont know them some awfully thick legs and in the younger pics the comb is already pretty pink to red move the wings and feathers on the back by the tail to see if you can see saddle feathers comming in

Here are some closer shots of sparkle's.....maybe this will give a better idea. I'm hoping hen...as I said she is shy...actually all of them are...our first one which is a wyandotte used to hope on our lap until we got the little americauna's and now they all run from us...I guess the dogs around don't help.

Please have a look and let me know if we are still thinking pullet.
Thanks!

and the brown red one which is much smaller with a very small cone.

Hi folks, I wanted to show you guys another pic of sparkles. Are you guys thinking roo or hen. The long tail feathers and big body and larger comb than sister of the same age. She is about 3 months old now.

Please let me know what you think.

First of all, you have Easter Eggers not Ameraucanas. Clearer pictures would help a lot to determine sex, but I have to say that Sparkles is looking like a cockerel

How can you tell Easter Eggers from Americauna's? I was told they were Americaunas when I purchased them. Will work on better pics. She/he doesn't like to stand still and pose....they know I'm up to something.
