I just bought my flock today...I picked out 6 chicks, the guy told me one was a Silkie, 3 were standard cochins, 1 bantam cochin, and an Americauna. I am just taking a guess at which one is the silkie...do you think I have it right?? Oh the chick on the end is in a band-aid sling to correct his legs now. They were just going to cull him, so I thought I would save his precious little life!
Here are the pictures, am I right? Also what colors do you think I have...sorry everyone - I am VERY new to all of this. I am especially curious about the color of Lotus...is she going to be a blue? I am lost, but what is new? Haha!

Oh thank you , thank you, thank you....I was wondering if that may be possible when I looked down this evening and noticed that there was a bit of fur on her....lol...Poppy maybe? Wow....

From the pic, Poppy doesn't look like a Silkie to me. If there are extra toes and the skin is black, it's a silkie. If she has a beard and muff, then it's possible that she's a D'Uccle. Is it just me or does Clover look like a Mille Fleur D'Uccle???? Does Clover have a beard/muff?

Poppy looks like she has dark/ black coloured skin from what I can see but the feet are not clear so I could be wrong. Does she have 5 toes and very dark skin? Sometimes Silkies can have 4 toes too if they are no show quality.

Poppy doesn't have a black beak like Lotus does. She has a dark beak but it's not black. And looks to have a single comb as well.

Bluebell is not a Silkie, but a mottled Cochin.

Dandelion is not an Ameraucana, but an Easter Egger (hatcheries and feedstores don't sell real Ameraucanas)

Lotus is not a Cochin, - but a Silkie.

They're all very cute though - And your Easter Egger looks to be a pullet.

I bought most of my babies from a very small local hatchery...they have a really nice breeding stock - I was told that Dandelion was an Ameracauna...does she look like something else?

Lotus has 5 toes~ thanks everyone, she is definitely my Silkie...Poppy only has 4 toes...I was told he was a blue cochin...but I got them all mixed up on the way home, lol.

Clover does look like a Mille Fleur D'Uccle...they had some bantams in that coloration there at the hatchery...maybe...hmmm...I don't know what a beard or a muff is though...

Dandelion looks to have a Rose Comb and not a Pea Comb...
