Can anyone ID this color for me?

Thanks everybody, guess it's settled then. I just assumed with it having that much color (and the little spur nubs) that it was just a young male. Apparently not all Hens are as drab colored as others that I have seen, lol.

Yep a spalding peahen , my guess over 3 yr by her spurs , male spurs will be larger in diameter, even yearling males

Indian hens can have spurs too, just not very common and in their case the spurs are usually skinny and pointy, very different from broad, blunt spurs on Indian males. Green spurs are slender in both sexes.

Thanks for the additional info. I haven't seen or heard the bird today, so I'm assuming the neighbor had it for dinner (yes he is that much of a jerk)

I got word from a neighbor up the road that there is a mountain lion in the area and it cleaned out a flock of chickens that's pretty near here yesterday... so if that Peahen did survive down at the neighbor's last night hopefully the mountain lion did not pack it off. That's pretty freaky, having one this close to home. My Guineas are in lockdown, the Donkey is on duty and my 5 dogs are on high alert. Hopefully Fish and Game gets their lazy butts out here and takes care of it before I start losing Goats and Guineas
