Can Anyone identify this duck?

Saw it at the local show, never seen anything like it! It was the only one there and had no label on.

Mandarin duck. A wild species somewhat similar to wood ducks.

A wild species in which country? In Australia our wood ducks are actually geese - Maned Goose or wood duck to the un educated. The other breed is pacific black which I am very familiar with.

Mandarins are Asian, although there are feral populations in the UK and California, US.

Maned geese are not geese, they are perching ducks as is the mandarin.
