can anyone identify this gorgeous duck :-)

No, Runners do not have that orange of a color to their feet and legs and my Swedish do not either. Now, my Pekin do but this one does not have any characteristics like a Pekin that I see. I am not sure what other breeds have that orange color but I bet others will chime in.

I was also thinking Runner/Ancona cross as the face and parts of the body do remind me of them but the legs make me hesitate to say so.

one of my ducks looks like yours, the lady I bought her from told me she was a cross between a mallard and a Pekin..... hard to say for sure though.

Thanks everyone

unfortunatly he's not my duck, he's at a water park we go to every week, but he's sooo adorable, runs straight over when i get there, eats grain out of our hands

i just love the look of him but had no idea what he was

i really wish i could, there are loads of domestic ducks there though that look like theyve just been dumped... if i had more land and space to build a big pond i'd bring all the poor little ducks back home but i wouldnt want to split him up from his friends! makes me so sad though to see such gorgeous and really friendly ducks just left like that

i really would have sooomany ducks if i had the space!

Listen it breaks my heart to see and know they are being dumped as we speak, not just ducks but other animals as well.

But at least you bring the right kind of feed and have befriended it. I would be worried about someone being evil to them over halloween since they are so trusting. Don't forget about them over winter, thats when they will really need support of food. [maybe you can kinda check on them on halloween night just to make sure all is well. ]

i go so much over winter, to keep them fed and abit of company....never see anyone there feeding them over winter!!
me and my fella have even made it a christmas day tradition, take them plenty of food and treats

we've done it for the last 2 xmas's and plan to carry on forever more lol, theyr'e all really sensible ducks tho, as soon as we start losing daylight they all swim off to their islands even if theres still plenty of food being offered!

apart from this little fella

he stays and watches all the others swim away and watches the sunset with us, and i wont leave until he's flown away to his island..... i have to be there to protect them
