Can anyone make automatic door openers cheap?

I just read several DIY threads on how to make an automatic door opener on a budget. Some for less that 5.00! But I'm intimidated by the electronics. I'd probably start a coop fire. Is there anyone out there who wants to put one together for me for pretty cheap? I know there is a lot of talent out there, and maybe someone wants to give me a hand?? I can't pay as much as the commercial doors, which is why I am looking in the DIY.. But I can pay a bit!

You misunderstand I think. I don't want to make one myself. I want someone else to make one for me, and I buy it!!
