My grandpa had a hand cranked corn grinder that looked like a coffee grinder, big wheel next to it, hole long enough to put whole corncob into. this would work great for chopping up apples and such, which the chickens wont touch unless ground up. Id also use it to chop up stuff going into the compost. I dont want something that has a hole too small for even a hole apple, which is the old grinders you see everywhere.
Any good one to buy that works by hand and maybe like a vice, straps to a table? Or what do others here use to break up food?
I use seaweed for vitamins and want to grind that up too.

I find that Layena works great but would like to supplment it with my own blends. What should I make great egg producing chicken feed out of? duck feed for same?
