Can Anyone Show Me Picture Of Woodduck?

My co-worker and I were looking at the different ducks and she stated she had a woodduck growing up. I was wondering if anyone has a woodduck and can show me what they look like?

I've seen fairly few in the wild and the ones I have seen have mostly been flushed rather surprisingly and flapped away too quick to permit more than a moment's admiration

There is another duck that is not infrequently seen in captivity that is fairly similar looking, the Mandarin Duck (yeah, I know it sounds like an entree on a chinese restaurant menu <g>), but presumably your friend knows where she got hers from and thus knows which hers is/was.

We fostered a woodduck once. A guy in our town had 3 of them in an aquarium in the sun with no water and only birdseed to eat. Luckily my mom talked him into giving them to her. 2 died but the third ended up living and growing into a fine little drake

He LOVED crickets and we had a little cement pond he liked to take a dip in. He later went to live at a wildlife preserve where he could hopefully find a mate and have a long happy life
