Both the colors patterns and the dark legs (true Ameraucanas have blue legs) make it an Easter Egger. You can read the standard for the true Ameraucana at http://www.ameraucana.org/history.html. There are some advantages to EEs. They typically outlay true Americaunas, and they lay eggs in colors other than just blue. Our EEs are my granddaughter's favorite chickens. She loves the colored eggs that they lay.
