I no hes a boy guinee but dont no what breed he is. I just have helmeted guinees but never had one to hatch like this one all i have is guinees so i no its not cross breed hes already getting his horn on top. Hope i can find out what breed he is .hes my baby regardless but it would just be nice too no

Your keet is way too young to know whether or not it is a male or a female. It is a Helmeted Guinea Fowl. What color variety it is, is unknown.

Very frequently the color variety of Helmeted Guinea Fowl an be identified when they are very young keets from the markings they have at that time. There are some varieties that are hard to identify because they are so similar and you have to wait until they are adults.

If you have clear in focus photos from when it was a few days old, it may help in getting a color identification. You are probably going to have to wait until it is an adult before being able to get a color identification.

It is possible that it is a color mutation as this is not unheard of in guineas, but it is also possible that a pair of your guineas were carrying recessive color genes responsible for this one.

He has all his feathers and is already doing the chi-chi chant i have a girl too that is doing the buck weat chant or as i call it hood rat i appreciate u telling me this but all his feathers are in but he is my baby n i was just curious ive got 3 females and a boy full grown i incubated several eggs and all the rest looked like the mothers and father ive ben foing this for several years but never had one look like him thanks
