The black bird in the second picture looks like a Black Sex Link. I have some that have more brown to them, almost like half the bird Is brown. Same short comb and waddle.

Maybe the mystery one is a Phoenix? The other is a black sex link pullet.

Murray McMurray hatchery includes Black Sex Links in their Brown Egg Layer Assortment so that's probably what the second pic is and I agree that the first pic is probably a phoenix.

I say the first one looks like some sort of bantam but idk if serama/japanese/idk...
