Can anyone tell me what color these little babies are?

The Ameraucana people on here are very... particular in what they think people should be allowed to call Ameraucana. Im sure one or two will be more than happy to pipe in this thread and tell you what you have is an Easter egger.

Edited: Personally, for me if you bought it as an ameraucana, and it has cheek muffs, pea comb, willow legs, and lays a blue green to blue egg it's an Ameraucana. Looks like what you got. shes a beauty.

Personally, for me if it has cheek muffs, pea comb, willow legs, and lays a green to blue egg it's an Ameraucana. Looks like what you got. shes a beauty.

Ameraucanas are a purebred breed of chicken that has muffs, a beard, slate legs, and a specific color variety and ALWAYS lay a blue egg. Easter Eggers are mutts that do NOT have a specific color variety usually have willow green, can lay any color of egg, and may or may not have a beard. Did you read the article I posted?

I'm not saying that they're not purebred. I'm saying that some people on here are too quick to label birds as EEs even though they were bought as Ameraucanas and fit the standard, for the most part (as we know there are no perfect specimens in regards to the standards).

What color is it then? It's obviously an EE especially when labeled as an "Americauna". Notice some of the chicks don't have muffs/beards.

The thread IS about the color of the chicks. The OP said they were marketed as "Americaun's" she/he doesn't really trust them. The bird in the profile looks absolutely nothing like a wheaten. Hence the dark penciling, black hackles etc. I never said that EE's couldn't lay blue eggs. In fact, blue and green are the most common colors but they can lay pink, white,brown, tan etc. EE's can look like Ameraucana's but when you look closely you can find the difference's.
