I know it’s warmer out but Don’t understand why chicks don’t use coop. Even when it rains they prefer to hang out in run . Do you see anything wrong with coop area from these pics
Do you mean during the day? Or they won't roost in the coop at night? How old are they and how long have they been in the coop?
To get ours to use the coop, we confined them in it for a week. Of course, this was in spring. They would probably die from the heat if we tried that now. Then, when they let them in their run, they returned to the coop at dusk. We had to physically put them on the roosting rails for a few nights afterwards so they got the idea
If this is an established flock, you may want to check your coop for mites.
Also, if you live somplace where it's currently cold, your coop may be drafty. If it's hot, the coop may be too hot.
