Can anyone tell what gender these two chicks are?

Sorry its been a while, they are now around 9 weeks old.
This one is definitely a cockerel.

But I'm still hoping that the second one is a pullet, she does have a bit redder and bigger comb then I'd like, but not nearly as much as her brother. Also, he is just starting to get in his pointed saddle feathers, and she is not. Opinions?

Both are cockerels :(

So just an update, both are cockerels. P1040434.JPG

Its odd though, as the second one still hasn't really got any male saddle feathers.
They are both crowing, and are definitely cockerels though!

Sorry the barred one wasn't a hen! I love their coloring though, especially the first cockerel. What a pretty boy!

Oftentimes, if there's a dominant cockerel or rooster already, other cockerels will be a lot slower to mature - kind of a defense mechanism to help them still belong to the flock when there's already a head cockerel? Not sure why this happens, but it's a thing. Probably what's going on with your barred cockerel. If for some reason you got rid of your first cockerel, the second one would mature quickly and take on a dominant role - that's how it usually works.
