My neighbor went to TSC and came back with 5 chicks for me. Supposed to be laying hens. the box was marked Cornish Rocks, which as I read up on them, don't appear to be very good at laying, and may be a straight run, so may not be hens...... can anyone tell. From what I've read TSC is not the best at accuracy, so I can only hope they were wrong on these. Feathers are coming in white. They are about 3 weeks old.

Cornish Rocks are 'meat' birds and do not lay.
They are bred to grow very rapidly and are ready for processing at 8 weeks old.
Go to the meat bird section of the forum to learn more.

Oh, nvm, can't figure how to upload pic!

Hi yaw. I posted a thread and pic several minutes ago but no one has replied. Am I doing something wrong? Lol

Finally, the insert image icon came up.... Ok, any more guesses????

I think that I would give them back to my friend or post a free ad on Craigslist for free meat birds. They may die before they lay any eggs. They eat, grow, and poop more and faster than egg laying breeds.
