Can broody's be fooled to adopt instead of hatch?

You will LOVE watching a broody with her chicks! To me it's the most fascinating part of keeping chickens.
 
Sadly, this morning I found the Blue Australorp in the pic above out of the nest and passed away this morning. :( The two rocks seem to be fine and happy with Rosie though.
