Can budgies and chickens share diseases

I was hoping to get a little budgie or 2 but don't know if tending 2 a sick chicken or duck then to a budgie or the other way around will transmit diseases. In general can birds (poultry, parrots, ect.) transmit diseases?

Yes they can. I am not sure if the diseases would be harmful, but they can be hosts for the disease.
