Can Budgies Eat Honey?

I think the main problem with honey is that large amounts could cause a sugar over dose in pet birds. Hummingbirds have such a high metabolism that they actually need all that sugar.

I've heard that too much salt can be bad for birds too. But I guess too much sugar or salt are bad for us too!

Honey is actually very fattening. No, they should not eat it. Don't trust those "Nutritious" honey treats you see at walmart, too fattening. Probably hony is also to thick for them to eat alone also. Don't give them honey.
