Lol , good luck with the ratio. Lots of breeders refer to the buttons as the "mice" of the quail family, not just for their size, but for the amount of breeding and laying they do! If you keep them indoors of course you will have eggs daily and they will pile up! Too bad you dont have a lil pet snake to feed the eggs too...he would be a very happy camper. Now if you want the lil hens too go broody and set on her eggs, I would suggest having a single pair in a cage by themselves and some cozy hiding spots for the female. I have seen people keep buttons in single pairs and be successful with broody hens. You probably won't see that with your trio or colony arrangement.
