Can chicken wire keep out cats?

I mean just those small feral cats that are all ugly and mangled fur with fighting other cats, the neighbors call the cats gutter cats. I'm just talking about feral cats, not mountain lions or bobcats, just those stray and feral things

Possibly... I've seen some big kitties that looked strong enough to rip through chicken wire.

I've never had a cat try and attack my grown hens. If you have chicks then they will just walk through the wire.

Chicken wire that's not rusted or falling apart will keep cats out.

Why is everybody so mad and sad? its just a feral cat

both house and bobcats can and will climb metal fence, but electric fence wire along ordinary fence will make them run away. Whether house/feral cat can rip or chew throw chicken wire will depend on its motivation level and the amount of time allowed for such activity.
