Can chickens be an obsession?

chickens for me started out as a experimental 4h project and now has grown into a secret obsession. i have chickens and ducks coming out of me ears. i have chickens in my room, garage, and outside. I keep my chicken obsession semi private because i dont like the look some give you when you say you raise chickens. i love going to chicken shows and things though because you can really let loose and get your "chicken high" for a few hours or a few days! i love talking to chicken people they are always so delightful. like its been said the chicken addiction or obsession is better than collecting ceramic cats or being an alcoholic.

Definitely an obsession. I have only had my girls a month and am always on craigslist looking for more!

When we started I got whatever Agway had in their little bins. A great assortment of brown egg layers. Color for the yard.

Now, we have a few coops and I need to start to specialize in 1 or 2 breeds but, gee whiz, I don't seem to have any of the breeds I like so,
