I have just been tested positive for COVID-19 and my main concern is if there’s a possibility of me transmitting the virus onto my backyard chickens. Is it possible for them to get sick or am I able to feed and water them without fear of getting them sick?

I'm sorry you're sick. Here's what I've found (Google AI):

While possible for infected people to pass the virus to certain pets (like cats or dogs) or farmed animals (like mink) during close contact, this doesn't typically happen with poultry.

So it looks like you can enjoy caring for your chickens without fear of infecting them. Take care of yourself, and feel better soon!

I would have just assumed they couldn't, as five years ago, when it was rampant, so many people bought chicks that there was a chick shortage at TSC and those places. I never remember anyone saying not to buy chicks if you test positive.
