Can chickens climb stairs.i have a barn i wanted to make into a chicken coop and it has stairs in it i wanted to use up there to because i wanted more square feet.

Yes They climb the stairs to my backdoor all the time

Yep

my Cochin got "lost" in our butcher house (was there when we bought the farm, we don't butcher

) and while I was trying to get her, she started climbing the steps... Very funny - fluff ball chicken not playing with a full deck of cards, trying to run up steep 1800's steps, in what used to be a chicken butchering shop.

I have an old barn and our freerange chickens use the stairs to go up and down to the loft all the time. They like sleeping on them at night too. They do make them pretty poopy at times.

We have chard, broccoli and lettuce on our deck at the top of the stairs...yes! And then they can fly over a gate at the top of the stairs too.
