I'm drowning in hissing cockroaches right now and I can't find anyone that wants any at this current time. It seems like a lot of people are re-homing right now rather than getting new pets. I'm running out of options and the roaches are eating so much food a day, it's insane. I plan to try and get another cage soon to separate the males and the females at least, but it is going to be a little while before I can get another cage...

I would assume if chickens can have them then only the babies would be suitable because of the adults and their exoskeletons? Is this correct?

I know nothing about hissing cockroaches, other than they are very big. What could make them dangerous for chickens to eat? What kind of animals would eat them?
I don't even know what eats hissing cockroaches in their natural habitat...no idea...

I do know bearded dragons will eat them. I don't know of anything that would make them dangerous to eat, I wonder if I could only feed the babies or if I could feed an adult to them, too...I wonder because the adults have a very hard armored top where their horns are, I guess this is part of their exoskeleton. I don't know if the chickens would just kill it and not eat it or if they would attempt to gobble it down.

Or run away because the roach hissed at them. Mine would be afraid of them. The new hens are afraid of worms.
They also turn their nose up at dried meal worms

Hello, what is your setup like? I’ve been thinking about having a small breeding station just to be feeding for my chickens every now and then. I have around 20-30 chickens. I heard that the baby’s are small and can slip through a lot of cracks and that they can climb glass?! I also want to see if I can keep them and their enclosure outside.
