can chickens feathers change color ? white to brown

i have a strange ? i have a small whitl leghorn hen she was all white when i got her but she is now a mottled white with brown spots and a completely brown feathered head? i thought at first the roos were being to rough as she lost all the feathers on her head but they have all come back brown/ reddish color she is eating and laying otherwise fine just wierd?? any ideas on this thanks

I've heard of this happening and that with a subsequent molt return to their original color.

are you sure she's a leghorn. My amber sex link was all white untill a few weeks ago. She's 15 now.
