Hi everyone, one of my chickens had been having frequent seizures and a bit of a limp since Saturday. She's approximately 5 pounds and at least 5 years old. I have a bunch of other threads about her on my profile if you need more information. I currently believe it's most likely to be Marek's disease (i thought it was a vitamin deficiency but the vitamins aren't working) but I'm wondering if there are any other options because I'm not ready to give up on her. I was just curious whether or not chickens can develop epilepsy and if there are there any any anti-seizure meds that can be safely prescribed to chickens and if the veterinarians will help me

I'm sorry that your hen is not well. I glanced at one of your threads and the last post was a video of her walking fairly well. If she's able to eat/drink on her own and does better outside with the flock, then that's where I would leave her.
Hard to know what's going on with her - she's 5 years old so there's many things that can start going wrong. If vitamin therapy is not making a difference, then you may want to just make sure she's eating/drinking well, check to see that her crop is emptying, that she stays lice/mite free and let her enjoy being a chicken outside with her flock.

A quick on site search resulted in this, you may find it helpful.
