Can chickens get the human flu?

Hi, I am trying to figure out if chickens can get the human flu my son has type B and he was playing with the chickens and I think I remember reading that chickens can get I as well. I am concerned that my flock will be infected. Is there anything I can do? Can my flock even get the human flu?

I'm not sure, that is an interesting question. I have had the flu a lot and taken care of chickens and they don't seem to be effected, however. Just keep an eye on them and make sure they can keep warm and have plenty to eat and drink.
