I am not an expert in this kind of stuff but it is concerning. One part of the story was of a farmer with 900 geese all dying overnight due to the avian flu.

This Youtube channel isn't 100% reliable so I take what they say with a grain of salt, they like to push doom and gloom against the CCP. Still, they might be prone to exaggeration but haven't been known to outright lie in their stories. Click here for the video.

I did a few months of intensive research into poultry disease back in 2011 when I got into raising chickens again. It is sobering, they walk around living on a razor's edge between the disease, bacteria, and viruses present in their bodies and life and death. Which is why we quarantine when we move a hen more than into the next coop. If from the outside, put her up for two weeks before putting her into the flock.

Then back in the late 2010's I did some bacterial studies on countertop surfaces. Our source of the bacteria? Frozen whole chicken from Walmart. Let it thaw, take a table spoon of the juice from the body cavity, put into a growth medium, into an incubator, and good God the explosive growth. I would work in full protective gear but I managed to touch the top of my head once and somehow right between my shoulder blades about eight inches down. Probably a drop from changing out of the bio gear. Huge boils developed, half dollar size. Had to take a shot and a regime of oral antibiotics.

Bio security matters, people. Practice it. Doesn't have to be expensive. There isn't another USA to export meat, eggs, and chickens if this crap takes hold and mutates into humans. The mortality rate is massive too.

Even taking that show with a grain of salt, I believe it. Scary stuff!

I, too, am no expert, and there's not much chance of anything out here in the boonies, yet I, too, am vigilant as it can be in the wind. If they ever get a vaccine for AI for chickens, I'm going to be first in line to get some of it. I've heard they have one, but for some reason it's not here in the U.S.

That testing you did years ago grosses me out! I guess it's one way to learn though. Nasty stuff!

Well wild birds.... might be worse in the boonies. The vaccine, I heard it was a hard no due to EU restrictions, they are looking for ways to lock out U.S. exports anyway. Ditto on China. Both are trying hard to grow their own food, can't blame them for that, for security reasons.

Yeah, it was a couple of years before I would eat chicken. Chickens live immersed in stuff that can kill humans. I know the commercial slaughtered birds are more contaminated due to the massive amount of carcasses going through but that water might hit thousands of birds before it is discarded, I don't know but it is plausible. I see people snuggling with their hens and i just cringe.

Propaganda videos. Important to consider - China has vaccinated chickens against avian influenza extensively, particularly focusing on the H5N1 subtype. Over the course of ten years, China has introduced at least seven different vaccines to control H5N1, and has also combined H5N1 with H9N2 for broader vaccination coverage, adding two new vaccine formulations. While at the same time are purposefully conducting experiments on the virus mutations, aka gain-of-function experiments. Throwing vaccines at the viruses often causes a lot more harm than good...

No one trusts anything that China does or says. I'd discount the video a bit but no where near calling it propaganda.
