Can chickens have seizures?? Help?

I had a speckled sussex that was about 5 months oldthat started acting weird about 3 weeks ago (she had swallowed a very small - dead mouse) and I was wondering if that was making her act weird. Then yesterday when I went into the coop, she was acting really weird - almost like she could not see right - two of the other chicks started to attack her so I put her in a small pet carrier and took her into the house to keep her warm - she squawked really loudly and started beating the sides of the cage - then she got still but her legs poked out at a weird angle - I then kept checking on her for awhile and she was breathing but really out of it - this morning I found that she had died over night. Now I wonder if she had anything contagious? the rest of the chicks seem healthy. She was such a good girl!
