Can chickens have soft squishy crop, that isnt a medical issue?

Ive never had chickens with doughy crop before, but my silky rooster's crop felt awfully squishy tonight. I plan to check him over first thing in the morning, but I was wondering if it was possible his crop just happens to be a bit squishy, or if I should just start looking into doughy crop treatments?
Like, Could he be a bit dehydrated, or drank a lot of water or something? Or is a really squishy crop usually doughy crop? He was acting fine today and is 6 months old.
Thanks!

Crops tend to feel like a bean-bag, but occasionally they can a little hard, or sometimes watery as you felt. Several factors can determine how chickens crop may feel such as age, how much feed he's been eating, or how much water he's been drinking, what treats he's been fed, etc.

If he's eating and drinking well, acting normal, producing normal frequent stools, and his crop is emptying overnight, I wouldn't worry too much.
