Can chickens share living quarters with goats?

Hi!
So I just posted about predators getting in my coop.
And based on the answers given, and my own thoughts, I think I might have to move the chickens to my other shed...but this is where I planned to keep my goats next year. So, I'm just wondering if there would be any problems with the two species living together. They would each have their own separate daytime roaming area, but would sleep in the same shed.
Any experiences anyone?

I'm thinking no, because how will you keep the goats from eating the chicken's food.......and goats like to chew everything up......unless your shed has two rooms, and then it would probably be OK.

My goats and chickens share a barn but we built a coop into the back end of it with a pop door into their run. That way they can have their own place to sleep at night and I can leave their food and water in there without the goats getting into it.

At the produce near me, there is a large paddock with chickens, geese, ducks, goats, sheep and wild birds all sharing the same qauraters. What they do is put netting over the chicken food (the food is in bathtubs) so the goats and sheep cant get to it.

We have ALWAYS had goats with our chickens. Yes, you do have to be a bit tricky making sure the goats don't eat the chicken foot, but we always scattered our chicken food on ground in different places so everyone got a chance to eat some. Then last summer we built a pop door that went from our goat pen into an unused stall where our hen had her food access 24/7, but this was the first time we had the 24/7 access. I would dare to say it's not the worst thing in the world if your chicken isn't eating out of a bowl all the time.

Our hens were always plump-- too bad they didn't last long because of the fox

I know some store that also has livestock for the kids to look at and they keep their silkies in with sheep if that helps

I see absolutely no problem, if anything build a small box area or a shelf above where the goats can reach to put a feeder for the chickens if you want them to have food access inside the shed/coop.

Otherwise I really don't see any issue whatso ever, I know plenty of people who keep chickens and goats

I went and got a turkey a month ago from some folks who had free range chickens and goats, goat houses and chicken coops...and the goats and chickens intermingled in their houses, they just put stations of feed too high for the goats to reach or under heavy wooden boxes with a hole big enough for the chickens to get in and long enough so the goats can sneak their heads under and through.

We found one of our goats wearing the chicken feeder around her neck one day so, we had to build a maze in the chicken coop so the chickens could get in but the goats couldn't. The chicks were a little confused at first but they figured it out.

I have 2 pgymy goats that roam with the chickens during the day, it seems that hawks see the bigger animal and figures it is too much trouble, also tames the roosters down a little. But the chickens have a pop door in the coop where the food and water is 24/7 and they do not seem to eat the goats pellets, too big.
