That reminds me …

Single woman comes home, takes a look at what is in the fridge and goes to bed.

Is that chick a Lt. Brahma? They are big birds, perhaps thats why she seems to be bigger than your other chicks.
She's a light Sussex, no doubt about it. She's not wearing Ugg Boots, and we're in Australia. Sorry I will fix up my profile to indicate that.

Looking at her today, I can see that she's not massively larger than the other two Sussex, but definitely somewhat larger and makes the Australorp look small. I think 'ken hit the nail on the head, while she seems to love food, it's the mash she particularly enjoys. Some of the other birds don't get quite as excited by it and maybe just peck away more consistently at the feed during the day. They still seem to gulp it down pretty well, but not quite as frenzied or for as long as she does.

In the meanwhile the advice to use two feeders at feeding times at the Piranha tank was a good one, so now nobody misses a chance to remove my hand if I don't get it out of the way in time! While in their temporary pen they see me walking back and forth all day and it seems to keep them amused while having their breaks from scratching for critters in the dirt. I have no idea what they find in there, but seem to get pretty excited about it regardless. At one stage while bending down to refill their water two decided to ambush me and jump on my back which was quite amusing until it was time to try to get them off without hurting them! They sure are getting very friendly!
