Can depression cause Sour Crop?

Hi guys. Thanks a lot for all the advices, particularly Wyorp Rock.

But unfortunatly i think im dealing with something more serious, than a Sour Crop, i dont think that was the desease i think it was symptom.

That Sussex Rooster, i told you about passed away this evening.
I opened his crop, and it looked like in the pic.
Oh boy... What exactly are you feeding your birds?

I have 172 chickens, so basicly i buy the food every week, or even twice a week and looks good and fresh.

I may be totaly wrong, but the water comes from a well, could it be worms in the water, that obstruct their digestive system, their crop gets hard, and because food is not moving around, they end up with a hard crop, that eventualy makes the crop overflow to their mouths, they aspirate some of it to their lungs and they sufocate?

does any other animals/humans drink from the well? I mean you could do a water sample.

All my 172 chickens, and 2 goose drink from that well. And except from the two that passed away recently, all the others looked whealthy... At least until 5 hours ago...

No humans drink from there, but there are no fields around only forests, so i dont think the water is contaminated
