Can dried out mealworms turn into a beetle?

They are dead, they can't come back to life, hibernation and suspended animation, probably, freeze dried never.

I was wondering the same thing because i got rid of the beetles in my chicken feed, gave them store bought dried meal worms in their run & the tiny beetles are back in the food again.

Sounds like you need a new feed supplier.

Meal worms are actually pests that commercial flocks go to great lengths to eradicate due to health concerns. They will devour the dead chickens that get trampled into the litter and spread disease.

Then consider what the Chinese manufacture of the dried meal worms fed them. Poop, rotting carcasses, human cadavers for all you know.

The dried meal worms are not likely reviving but the beetles that naturally live in the area are feeding on the dried meal worms.
