can ducks eat chicken layer pellets?

im thinking about getting sucks and am just curious if i could keep them in the same pen and have them eat the layer pellets my adult chickens are eating or if i would have to change the feed to flock raiser. If this is so would it impact the eggs i would be getting from my chickens? thanks
