Can Ducks have Nipple Waterers?

I’ve been told by others that ducks can’t have nipple waterers since they need to be able to dunk their heads in the water. This statement makes sense to me and all my ducks are supplied with a waterer they can dunk their heads in.

I was just reading through this official Metzer Farms magazine they just sent me and it says you can use nipple waterers to help with water spilling. Is this true? Or should ducks not use nipple waterers?

Ducks can drink out of nipple waterers, but they still need water deep enough to be able to dunk their heads in.

Good point here. I don't think it would. Ducks need a lot of water when they eat so they can swallow. I doubt a nipple waterer would allow for that.
