Can ducks sleep in hay?

I ran out of straw and was wondering if they can use hay? Or would that cause issues?

How old are your ducks? Hay can be dusty and molds quicker than straw, both of which can be an issue for ducks. I did, however, lined my walls with good quality new hay for insulation this winter with no ill effects. They are currently using the last bit of good dry hay for their nest. I would recommend pine shavings for bedding though.

As long as it isn't moldy, it is fine.
