Hi, my large broody hen is currently sitting on six pekin bantam eggs and six mixed breed eggs. I've noticed some are more pointy whilst others are more rounded.
I remember reading somewhere years ago that rounder eggs are female an pointy eggs are male. Is this true? Would love to know others experiences :)

It is an old wives tale, that isn't true. In the last year, I know of at least 3 youtube vloggers that tried to see if it was true. They had a lot of roosters from the rounded ones that was suppose to be female. You should do your own experiment to see if it is true for you.

Since the shape of the egg comes from the egg shell gland and not from the contents of the inside of the egg, she will usually lay the same shape of egg. She will over time usually lay close to 50% eggs of each gender
