Can eggs hatch after 21 days?

I set 6 eggs under a broody hen awhile ago. 5 out of 6 were broken by another chicken (who is now in solitary confinement) but the remaining one was left un-cracked and unharmed. The problem is, day 21 was 3 days ago. I was wondering how long I should wait. How far past 21 days can an egg still hatch? The mother has been nesting and guarding faithfully, and when I candled the egg around day 14 it looked up to date according to an app I have. (that was after the other eggs were broken) Should I wait? Thanks for any input.

I usually give up to 3 days after the due date. Then I chuck them.

I have to agree. past day 23/24 you are looking at possible serious developmental issues. I would definitely candle and if no internal pips or peeps, I'd let 'em go.
