A nearby farm creates their own chicken layer feed. I've been feeding my 6 girls Scratch & Peck 16% layer mash (no soy/corn feed), but was interested in trying this one.
Can those of you all with knowledge on feed ingredients and nutritional value tell me if this is a good feed pls?

It says "natural" but the ingredients are full of funny chemical things. I wouldn't eat it so I also wouldn't feed it to my animals. My rule is, if I don't feel like eating it, none of my animals are gonna eat it.
I even ate cat food before deciding if it was good enough to give it to my cat.

Hello This feed is the farthest thing away from being what the name suggests "Natural Layer Ration". One thing I think about when I see ingredients lists is that the fewer ingredients the better. This feed is full of sythetic ingredients and I don't know what their definition of "Natural" is, but this feed is not "Natural".

Everything after "alfalfa meal" is either a vitamin, mineral, or probiotic.
All feeds that I've seen labels of use added vitamins and minerals. Yes, even organic feeds!
If you don't understand a feed label, please do not jump to "it's bad", because you could be giving very bad advice.

OP, like many members, I prefer to feed a 20% protein All Flock / Grower feed for feather health. But it's your decision whether that's a priority for you.
