I have read in many place that guineas LOVE millet. However, it always says to give them white millet. Just wondering why it has to be white? I did find some millet but I think it is just regular. Is other millet bad for them?

White millet isn't really white. It's more of a creamy beige color often with some yellow or light brown in the mix. Other types of millet aren't harmful to guineas. It's just that many guineas prefer the white millet and may not eat the other kinds.

I agree, my guineas get a large seed variety as treats and will eat up the white millet. They will eat the rest but the white millet will be the first to be gone. They also love sunflower seeds without the shells. I buy shelled seeds and let the guineas pry them open on there own. But when I have the time I sit out with them and remove the shells. They like it better when I do it.
