can head bobbing be a sign of needing to lay an egg?

I have read that ducks head bob to flirt, and also they do this when happy, such as when they're are being let out in the morning or getting fed. I am wondering what other things head bobbing might communicate. Particularly, can it mean that a hen wants to lay an egg?

Interesting question. I have never associated the behavior with egg laying.
