Right now I have 3 isa browns and I got to wondering if I could cross any one breed and have close to the same success I have when I buy the cornish rocks and feed them up for freezer birds. What have any of you guys tried and had any luck with

Thanks
Grant

ISA Browns are hybrids of medium weight birds. I dont know the exact breeds used. But, when you breed them back, its pot luck as to what will result. You'll get something like a New Hampsire Red or Plymouth Rock, that's pretty sure.

SO you could just raise the cockerels to 10 weeks and slaughter them. They wont be as hefty as the Cornish Crosses - but thats how people did it before there WERE Cornish X's.
