It has now been 15 days since Chelsea started laying, & we collected our 14th egg today. I'm so surprised she hasn't had another rest day yet, the last 2 eggs were surprises, I expected her to take a break.

Evie our Lohmons is squatting & singing now, as is Delilah the Light Sussex. Just Florence the Australorp left to follow. Our youngest (human) is so excited to collect the egg each day, & apparently loves it even more when the egg is still warm

Congratulations! Not only productive but also a very attractive hen. First eggs are so exciting and a great introduction to animal husbandry as well as learning where food comes from for your youngster. Food, education and beauty....all in one little hen!
