I have read up on the topic, including this thread: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/261208/sex-linked-information
I only have hatchery stock so I know it may not work because of that.
I am supposed to have both Blue-Red and Black-Breasted Red Cubalayas. They all had yellow down as hatchlings. The females are, I believe, wheaten; some are darker or more reddish than the others.
I also have Silver Penciled Fayoumis, which I am thinking is more autosomal barring than penciling. They had what I think is wild-type down as hatchlings.
In theory if I cross a BBR Cubalaya cockerel over the Fayoumi pullet could it produce sex-linked chicks?
Thanks
