Options for creating Sex-Linked Silkies?

Does this work for mottled silkies too?
The only thing I've learned about mottled silkies is just like buffs, you need a pair to make them. If you breed a buff to another, you get a unique bird. I'm pretty sure my one mottled hen counts as a black hen when not bred to another mottled.

This is whom I'm speaking of. I don't even know if I want to get her a male as she's a satin silkie and I rather not breed satins.
