hi everyone... I want to build and egg incubator which uses light bulb as a heat source. but i dont need the light to be very bright. so is there a way of connecting a dimmer switch to regulate the light intensity, and then using the STC 1000 temperature controller to regulate the temperature?

if there's a way, i would need a diagram to guide me through

I believe that a thermostat is just going to turn something on or off, not varying degrees of on/off like a dimmer. Like in your house your heat or your AC is either on or off and then when the desired temp is hit the thermostat either switches it on or off. So if your temp is set at 100 degrees in your brooder the light bulb would stay on until it hits 100 and then the thermostat would cut it off until the temp gets too cold (whatever you set your min. temp) and then it would turn the light back on. Also if your light bulb is on a dimmer, make sure it's a "dimmable" bulb, not all bulbs will work right on a dimmer; there's one flickering annoyingly in my office as I type.
