Can I do anything about crowing?

Hi

My STUPID neighbors, are complaining about my roo crowing, only from 8am to 11 am. They said I better do something about it, or they'll call the cops. Can I do anything about crowing?

You can try putting him in a darkened room in the house at night until later in the morning, but once you let him out, he is going to crow. If it is the TIMING of the crowing, then you can try that tactic. If it is just the fact that he crows, regardless of the timing, the only choice is to have a house rooster or give him away if you want to keep the neighbors happy.

Now, keep in mind that you may LEGALLY be able to keep a rooster in your location - you need to call your town/city hall and find out what the laws are. BUT even if the law is on your side, your neighbors can still complain about the noise/nuisance factor and may be able to get your roo taken away on that issue, regardless of whether roos are allowed by the law.
