Can I eat my birds if I found lice?

Just started to raise birds a few months ago and when I was processing my first roo today I found vent lice on him. I had already taken two roos and don't want to waste them. Are they OK to eat? I washed all the lice away when I was plucking them. I would really appreciate any advice please.

Yes it is OK to eat the birds. When you scald them, it will kill any lice that you missed. They are no danger to humans.
